Since 2005, improvement works have continued at Peak Gateway Leisure Club to create a family Caravan and Camping site. The location of the site is ideal for access to the Peak National Park with its beautiful scenery and unspoilt country walks. Access to Ashbourne town centre shopping is also easy from the site either by road or foot path, known as Bonnie Prince Charlies Way, which runs through the middle of the site.
Traffic on the site is light and governed by a 10 mph speed limit. This helps provide a safe environment for children on the site.
With the large hard standing pitches, level dedicated tent field, and hi-specification holiday homes, all situated in a countryside setting, this is an ideal getaway, whether for a long weekend or a weeks stay.
The facilities provided at the site make it one of the best sites in the area and you will find most of these facilities in the main building housing the reception and bar. Various events take place at weekends and bank holidays throughout the year, details of which can be found in the Events section of the Web site.
Recently added facilities at the site include new modernized heated shower block with push button hot water supply (all free of charge). Refurbished heated 24 hour toilets in main building. Improved tent field toilet block with separate pot-wash room. We also have a small shop selling essentials (milk, bread, butter, toiletries and basic camping equipment) and having a lending library with books and videos. We also have ukgeocachers.co.uk on site providing the first ever walk in
Geocaching shop. If you have never heard of geocaching then you will be pleasantly surprised to hear that it's a rapidly expanding activity that's ideal for campers and walkers.

Here at Peak Gateway we recognise the fact that it can sometimes be hard for RV owners to find campsites that can not only provide them with a place to stay but actually welcome them. We have several RV only pitches and have a growing following of regulars who come back to us time and again. We are even laying on a Saturday shuttle bus into Ashbourne (on selected weeeknds) that RV owners and their families can take advantage of. Getting them into town and back again without the need to pay for expensive Taxis or having to pack up and take the RV. Come and stay with us to see why we are more than just a camp site.
We currently only have two seasonal pitches left and you are welcome to come and visit us to have a look around. Call us on 01335 344643 for further details.
